Whether a student of Christian Science has followed this religion...
Whether a student of Christian Science has followed this religion since childhood or is a more recent adherent, it is a glorious fact that healings can be experienced, whatever degree of understanding the student has. As I have known this teaching since childhood, I can gratefully testify to many healings.
While staying with friends at their Island cottage, I had a wonderful opportunity to prove man's constant perfection as God's likeness. Running to catch a ball, I tripped over a rocky outcropping. When a friend ran to help me up, we found that I was unable to stand on one leg and was in great pain.
As I lay on my back, I needed to take a firm stand mentally against the fears that came rushing into my thought. A small island is not the easiest place to care for an injured leg! It was good to feel the prayerful support of the friends with me. One of the scientific facts I clung to was the joyous reminder that man is God's child, inseparable from Him, and forever in His loving care.
