SPIRITUALIZING THOUGHT
through control of its quality
There is a popular view that thought is a product of the brain—of a kind of computer that stores and processes material information. Such a belief is based on the false assumption that man is a mortal living in a material universe.
Christian Science teaches the very opposite, drawing on the account of creation in the first chapter of Genesis, which reveals that there is one creator, God, who created all, and He particularly made man in His own likeness—"God created man in his own image." This chapter also discloses that "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen. 1:27, 31;
From this basis we can see that every real thought has its origin in the one creator, the one Mind, that is all intelligence and wisdom. Real knowledge is spiritual and good and ever available.
