My years of study of Christian Science have taught me to love God above all things and my neighbor as myself. I am grateful that through this knowledge I have been freed from many ills.

My first demonstration of God's healing power was with the help of a student of Christian Science. I was delivered from the need for an urgent operation for hernia. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was also freed from chronic coughing, as well as from effects of an accident at work, where I suffered a fall from a height of twelve feet.

I was picked up unconscious, and when I came to, I asked that no material aid be given me. I was taken to my home in a very sorry state. In a few days I was able to return to work, to the great astonishment of my employers and fellow workers, who did not understand how I had been able to recover in such a short time.
