It is with deep gratitude and a growing awareness of God's loving, tender care and guidance that I submit this testimony. It is a tribute to the healing efficacy of the Christ, Truth, as taught in Christian Science.

Last winter, when my fifteen-year-old son returned home from a ski outing, his right hand appeared to be badly frozen. The boy was in tears because of much pain.

At first we were frightened. We called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful treatment. A Christian Science nurse also responded to a late-night call from us. We recognized the fear to be a false suggestion that would impede the awareness of our true spiritual sense of being. The fear was overcome, and we continued our prayerful work knowing that the functions of man, the idea of Mind, God, are maintained by Mind. Shortly my son was free of pain and went peacefully to sleep.
