It is with a heart full of gratitude for Christian Science and the many blessings received over a period of more than fifty years that this testimony is submitted.

My first healing was impressive. My husband and I arrived from Norway with our two young children and settled in New England. Five or six years later I became seriously ill. The diagnosis of two local doctors concurred. They said the condition was tuberculosis of the lungs. A friend suggested that I go to Boston for examination by specialists, and the same verdict was given. It was added that I had but six months to live. The only suggestion was that I go home and make the best of it.

When my sister in Washington, District of Columbia, heard about the condition, she invited me to come and visit her. She had been healed in Christian Science of a severe case of eczema, and thought Science might help me. I was willing to try anything, and having heard from her that Christian Science was based on God and the Bible, I was immediately interested to learn more about it, as I had always been very religious.
