Twelve years ago we had our third child, a little girl we call Connie. When she was only a few weeks old, we noticed that her feet were always turned to one side and one leg looked longer than the other. We didn't know if this was something Connie would just outgrow or whether we needed help.
We decided to take her to a pediatrician for examination, and he told us we were correct about the difference in the lengthy of her legs. It was more than an inch. He said there was nothing that could be done and she would have to wear a raised shoe once she walked. He told us that the legs turning out to one side could be corrected, but that she must be put in a cast for at least six months. He said there also seemed to be a malformation of her hip joint because her leg would move forward and backward but not out to the side. To correct this would require an operation later on.
We thanked him and went home to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. We knew now we wanted only Christian Science treatment and nothing else for Connie.
