Healing Our Children
As children respond to the smile of one who loves them, so they respond quickly to Christian Science treatment. This treatment, or prayer, awakens the child-thought to the presence and love of the divine Father-Mother, God. When a child becomes ill and someone praying for the child really feels the presence of divine Love and expresses mentally the love he feels, the child feels it too. And he is healed.
A child's illness is often largely a matter of adult thinking. The child's human existence reflects the beliefs of his parents as well as the general beliefs of mankind. In spiritual reality each individual is a timeless, birthless, deathless idea of the divine Mind. But human individuals are limited conceptions, and these conceptions are only as true as they are spiritual and Godlike.
Infinite, pure, perfect, spiritual qualities are true. They are of God. Limited, impure, imperfect, material qualities are false. They are ungodlike. Disease appears only in the false, material conception of man, never in the true.
