Stay on Earth Forever?
January 22, high on the ridge of a desert mountain. As I ponder this place and my position in it, a question comes. Would I want to stay on this beautiful earth forever?
At first I answer Yes. It's hard for me to imagine needing more than earth's marvels and the experiences one can have, like climbing mountains. Each climb brings exhilaration when I gain a summit and the inspiration that comes with looking across a landscape both rugged and serene.
But I do have to come down eventually.
