Caring for the Human Body
Among all mankind a common need of the individual is for a properly functioning body, but human theories are wide and varied in their recommendations of the best methods one can use to fulfill this need.
Christian Science teaches that one's thinking is manifested in and on the body, and that to care for the human body properly one must be willing to correct his thoughts. To recognize this fact is the first step in overcoming what appears to be a discordant bodily part, which is a material phenomenon.
Physical diagnosis, material medicine, and surgery stem from the human mind, which considers man's origin to be matter. Christian Science unmasks this false concept on the basis that man is spiritual because his source is divine Spirit, not matter.
