"The full might"
On entering an expressway the wise motorist obeys the sign "Yield." Thus he avoids a traffic snarl, possibly even an accident. He doesn't stop to argue over whether he should obey, who it is who says to yield, or whether there is a better way. His driving experience has made obedience important, easy, and natural. So he enters the highway smoothly.
The sign challenged my thinking one day in another way. It reminded me of the daily, even hourly, requirement for the one who is making spiritual progress through Christian Science. Such a one needs constantly to yield up a material, or mortal, sense of things for the spiritual. He knows that Christian Science heals discord of every nature, and he is willing to be obedient to the rules of this Science.
Mrs. Eddy writes, "To develop the full might of this Science, the discords of corporeal sense must yield to the harmony of spiritual sense, even as the science of music corrects false tones and gives sweet concord to sound." Science and Health, Pref., p. viii; Now, if we want "the full might of this Science" to be demonstrated, how can we do it? By being always in a state of yielding to divine Mind.
