I am grateful for the practical religion of Christian Science

I am grateful for the practical religion of Christian Science. It is constantly proving the healing power of the Christ.

I am thankful for a completely harmonious experience of childbirth. During the nine months' waiting time I prayed to understand the true nature of man and that God is the only Father-Mother. God is the only creator, and each idea is perfect and expresses life effortlessly. I realized that one right idea can never interfere with another right idea. Matter has no substance or power and cannot restrict. I remembered the parting of the Red Sea and knew this was in accord with Principle's law and therefore this power was present for governing each one's experience in this present age, too.

In Mrs. Eddy's definition of "bride" on page 582 of Science and Health she states, in part, "a sense of Soul, which has spiritual bliss and enjoys but cannot suffer." I claimed this as a right. I sought to follow this directive (ibid., p. 463): "To attend properly the birth of the new child, or divine idea, you should so detach mortal thought from its material conceptions, that the birth will be natural and safe. Though gathering new energy, this idea cannot injure its useful surroundings in the travail of spiritual birth."
