A Very Special Feeling

Michele Marie is a little girl who might very well be your friend if you knew her. Maybe you do know someone who's like her. She has long, silken hair. Her tiny, turned-up nose wrinkles when she laughs. She has a very happy heart. Sometimes her heart seems to skip across the room if someone says something nice, like "Let's get an ice-cream cone" or "Would you like to go to the beach today?" And whenever she gets happy about an idea like that, she laughs a quick, happy, dancing kind of laugh. Sometimes she skips across the room herself.

Well, Michele Marie had heard a lot about God in her home and Christian Science Sunday School. She thought God was a pretty big subject. She wondered many things about God. She liked to remember what the Bible says: "God is love." I John 4:8;

One day she was playing in her backyard. She was learning how to catch hold of a rung on her monkey bars, put her feet up to the bar, then over her head, then turn her whole self right over, landing on her feet—ker plop! She had practiced this before. It had been hard for her, but today it came easily. She did it the first time. She did it again the second time. And each time she tried it, she did it perfectly.
