What Kind of Peacemaker Am I?
Many people have the desire to contribute in some way to bringing peace to the world, but they may feel helpless.
But should they? It is becoming more generally recognized that each of us is individually responsible for the world in which we all live, that the problems confronting mankind today are the result of the composite thinking of all men. Universal peace begins with oneself. For war between nations to be eliminated, warring thought needs to be generally overcome in individuals. The individual can contribute to peace by daily praying for peace and for the spiritual regeneration of all men.
Because it is thought that peace is something to be had from without, mankind seems unable to obtain it. As long as we believe that peace can come only through matching human force with human force, we will have wars. And how can we expect peace to reign in the world if we have not peace in our hearts?
