The Timeless New Birth
Jesus' declaration "Ye must be born again" was and continues to be a mighty challenge to his followers.
Questioned by the puzzled Nicodemus as to what he meant by "born again," Jesus replied that those who really desire to enter the kingdom of God, Spirit, must be reborn: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." See John 3:1-7;
Christian Science explains the new birth, or regeneration, and shows its essential and enduring importance. Mrs. Eddy writes: "It is the appearing of divine law to human understanding; the spiritualization that comes from spiritual sense in contradistinction to the testimony of the so-called material senses." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 73; Here, indeed, our birthright is made clear. And Christian Science is showing us how to claim this inheritance.
