Healing through childlike response to God's law

It is the self-enforcing vitality of God's perfect law of harmony that heals the sick. The human mind is not a healer, but in the degree that this mind sets aside self-assertion and accepts with childlike confidence the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, it becomes a transparency for the restorative light of divine Mind— the healing power of God's law of good.

Mrs. Eddy writes, "That individual is the best healer who asserts himself the least, and thus becomes a transparency for the divine Mind, who is the only physician; the divine Mind is the scientific healer."^{Miscellaneous Writings, p. 59;}

Of course, this is not meant to imply that we have nothing to do when giving a treatment. Far from it. There needs to be active realization that the law of God's allness is the only law governing the case. We can mentally work to become childlike. We can do this by denying self-will, personal sense, egotism, and false responsibility. There is only the one infinite Ego governing all through its irresistible law of harmony and health.
