Getting Out of a Bad Situation
A powerful liberating force is available to any human being who has a personal relationship problem. It is the understanding of God's tender love for all His children. However menacing a human situation may seem to be, or however long it has persisted, one can be freed from it—lifted right out of it into something better—through the realization that man is (one is oneself) the object of God's eternal care. The happy conviction that the affairs of the entire universe (including one's own) are governed by the divine law of Love, will bring release from the effects of hatred—the effects of believing in a personal, dominating power opposed to God, or Love.
God, the divine creator of all, controls the destiny and regulates the relationship of every one of His offspring. His will is the law of perpetual good that assures all men of the right to harmony in their personal and business affairs—their contacts and contracts—since God brings individuals together only for their mutual good.
Whatever the human picture may be, no one is ever really in a hopeless situation or irrevocably linked with others in relationships that are not happy. No man or woman should ever accept the role of victim of discordant human conditions or associations that do not proceed from divine Principle. Man in his real being is the reflection of his Maker. Knowing this, we can demonstrate that we are no more trapped in loveless situations than a sunbeam can be imprisoned in an icebox.
