HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WRITE:
Why Do I Go to Church?
I attend church regularly because I am convinced of the divine inspiration of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. I also feel inspired when I am at church. Inspiration, to me, is a mental awakening that leads to God.
When I attend church, I am sure of finding people working together toward a goal of spirituality—true happiness and fulfillment.
I attend church or Sunday School because I want to give. That great quality, love, is expressed to me at church, and I in turn make an effort to express it toward those around me. I feel a great deal of spiritual warmth expressed humanly. Because of my yearning for this spiritual warmth I go to church.
