"God is not part, but the whole"
"Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." Jer. 23:24; These arresting words appear in the Bible—and they challenge conventional beliefs. To many they may seem incredible because they flatly contradict the testimony of the senses.
Knowing well mankind's incredulity, Mrs. Eddy had the courage to make a somewhat similar statement: "God is not part, but the whole." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 102;
She was aware that her words would seem nonsense to the world unless supported with convincing evidence, and she provided this evidence by her remarkable healing work, and by teaching others how to heal. Mrs. Eddy demonstrated beyond cavil that God is a definite, knowable entity—an all-encompassing, all-pervading, living, conscious Principle—and she stresses that the understanding of this fact underlies genuine spiritual healing.
