"Can you spare a dime?"
This phrase is repeated in different languages and coin thousands of times each day. In cities and villages all around the world there are poverty–stricken, hopeless people. If we don't encounter them firsthand, news reports bring them to us. Seeing and being moved by this desperate poverty haven't we often asked, "Isn't there something I can do—something that will really help to meet the deeper needs and yearnings of mankind?"
