When my children were very young, they attended the Christian Science Sunday School through the care of a dear relative who was a devoted student of Christian Science. Later on I became interested, and we had many healings through the study and application of this wonderful religion.
My elder daughter was stricken with scarlet fever, a disease I greatly feared. I called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and the condition was healed in a few days, although our daughter remained home from school to comply with the health authorities' requirements.
The younger daughter was at that time in a walker, and it was next to impossible to keep her from entering her sister's bedroom. I called the practitioner and related my fear that the little one might get the disease. He assured me that she could not take anything that God did not make or that was not good. I held to that thought, and the younger child did not get the disease.
