Many more blessings have been mine since my last testimony...

Many more blessings have been mine since my last testimony appeared in a February Sentinel of 1949.

One Sunday morning, near the beginning of my term as Second Reader in a branch church, I awoke unable to speak aloud. God's command to Moses (Ex. 14:15) "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward" came to my thought, and I prayed to know that no material condition had power to keep me from being in my right place. A Christian Science practitioner came to the dressing room and gave me prayerful support for some time before the service. Fifteen minutes before time to go on the platform, my voice began to return and became stronger during the service. Never since that time have I lost my voice.

A few years ago, when at a son's home, I awoke with a stiff leg and crooked foot and could not get out of bed. Almost instantly I remembered a statement made the day before at our Christian Science students' association meeting: "There is no mesmerizable man." I realized that this condition was an aggressive mental suggestion, a mental picture of something I had seen in another person shortly before, and that, in reality, it was not true of either of us. In twenty minutes I was free of the disability and very grateful.
