The tennis court was deserted. Dave had just finished playing a set of tennis with his father, who was already heading for the car.
As he leaned over to pick up his sweater at the edge of the court, Dave saw the watch. It was an expensive one, and there seemed no point in leaving it there for someone else to take, so he put it in his pocket and got into the car.
Thoughts spun in his head.
