In Article VIII, Section 24 of the Manual of The Mother Church, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, quotes, "'Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's' (St. Paul)."

Since my testimony was published in the April, 1961, issue of The Christian Science Journal, I have had many healings through Christian Science treatment. One was that of grief when my husband passed on some years ago. Through the help of a dear friend who is a dedicated Christian Science practitioner, fear of being alone was overcome. I was invited to stay with relatives for as long as I desired, but I stood my ground until through Christian Science the battle was fought and won. One great help in overcoming my dread of coming home from the office each day to what seemed an empty house was the realization that in my mailbox were the Christian Science periodicals, containing helpful articles from hundreds of friends. This dispelled the feeling of loneliness.

After a visit to a dentist I left close to tears, for he stated that my four lower front teeth would have to be extracted because of a very serious gum condition. I took refuge in a nearby Christian Science Reading Room and studied until I felt composed enough to go home. I then contacted a practitioner, who helped me through prayer. Improvement was immediate.
