A New School Year
Will my child have a good teacher? Will he like his new assignment? What will he learn? What can I do to help him? These questions often are asked by parents whose child is about to begin a new educational experience.
Christian Science shows that parents can be helpful by turning their thoughts and those of the child to the nature of true education and the true teaching relationship as they are outlined in Isaiah: "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children." Isa. 54:13; Christ Jesus likewise stated: "It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me." John 6:45;
Jesus himself recognized and depended upon the vitalness of this teaching relationship and encouraged his disciples to do the same. He felt the unity of God and man and demonstrated the enlightenment and direction of the pure and perfect spiritual ideas that God, the divine Mind, is continuously imparting.
