In the hope that it may be helpful to someone who may be halting "between two opinions" (I Kings 18:21), I submit the following testimony.
I was first introduced to Christian Science by a dear aunt, to whom I had gone when the problems of this existence seemed so overwhelming that I had almost decided to end living. I began attending a branch church and reading the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. To me, at that time, this showed I was a student of Christian Science. However, there was the vacillating thought that since I had not actually become a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist, I could still turn to material medicine.
This kind of thinking continued for about four years, although even then, through the help of a dear friend, a Christian Scientist, I received many blessings, or what one might term fringe benefits.
