College students are faced with a wide variety of lies, all clamoring for place and power, and all speaking in the first person:
"I need to leave college to find out what life is all about."
"I am going through a phase."
"I can't possibly do all this work."
"I need more sleep."
"I need a vacation."

"I need a coke, a cup of coffee, a cigarette, a sandwich, a pill to stay awake."
