I do not have words to express my deep gratitude to God for Christian Science, which Mary Baker Eddy gave to the world, and for the marvelous proof of God's healing power we have had in our family.

Many years ago my husband suffered from an illness that, according to mortal belief, would have destined him to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. According to the doctors, this malady was very serious. They said he had deforming arthritis in his hips, as well as carious bones. He lived in great pain and was taking drugs every day, but none of these calmed him.

At first my husband did not put Christian Science into practice. Not even out of curiosity had he opened a book on this subject to read, in spite of my insistence that he do so. When there was nothing left that would help him, the divine message came to him from God to begin to put Christian Science into practice, and then everything changed.
