Our family have been blessed in many ways as we have applied the teachings of Christian Science to our daily activities. Demands are made on me each day to prove on a practical basis the teachings of this religion. As an active member of the business community, I find that decision-making is easier as I recognize the controlling power and direction of divine Mind. The application of Christian Science to my business activity has brought increased responsibilities and rewards.

Seven years ago, following a family outing, which included water-skiing, I slid on a slippery boat ramp and tore open the palm of one hand. The ramp was old and made of wood, and many foreign particles entered the wound.

The first thought that came to me was, "This will ruin the whole day," but immediately another thought followed which said, "This can be the best part of the day; it is an opportunity to glorify God." So I called on a Christian Science practitioner for help, and we prayed to know that the man of God is unfallen, is never exposed to evil, and cannot suffer hurt of any kind. In three days the wound was drained of all the impurities, and in about a week the entire palm had been restored to its normal appearance. I missed no time at work or in church activities during this experience.
