Through Christian Science I was healed of an ugly sore on the side of my face. Even with the help of a Christian Science practitioner and much consecrated study on my part, several years went by before the healing took place.

At one time I visited my sister. She asked me to consult a certain surgeon who had been successful in removing just such a sore from the face of her neighbor. At first I agreed. Then I went to my room and soon had it out with such an erroneous suggestion. I thought, "What am I doing? God is my surgeon, and He never lost a case, because He governs His universe, including man, without failure or mistake." I told my sister that I could not see her surgeon, because I was placing full reliance on God's power to heal.

It was about three years later that the healing took place. During this time I spent many hours in study of the King James Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as her other writings.
