Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved (Ps. 16:8)

In many Biblical passages a reference to the "right hand" is conceded to imply or to symbolize strength; but here Briggs argues that "at my right hand" means "present, near at hand, as close as possible to help."

Such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (I Cor. 6:11)
