Does It Really Groove?
You often hear someone say, "It's groovy!" I think that whatever it is, if it's really groovy, it's really good, it has a spiritual factor, a quality of infinite God behind it, even if it appears as something quite human. The Christian Scientist becomes skilled at looking through the appearance to find what's really going on.
Groovy things are frequently the latest things. They're often very original and have a style that suits the way we're seeing life just at the moment. But sometimes we're not sure what things we should let ourselves "groove" with.
Take the pop scene. Dress, art, music, dance, drugs, and free sex might all look like part of the same style. Something usually tells us, though, that they're not all equally harmless, even when they each seem to offer a kind of appealing new freedom.
