It is with much joy that I can testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Two years ago a condition developed to the point that I could barely walk. As there were two young children in the home, I felt helpless, fearful, and sad that I couldn't care for them.

With the prayerful help of my teacher in Christian Science I gradually began to think less of my condition and more of the things of Spirit. This was not easy, as I was in much pain, but I began to learn, as Paul did, to "pray without ceasing" (I Thess. 5:17). I can truly say it became a joyous time of seeing, and being a part of, Mind's unfoldment of its ideas, which heal. I prayed to feel Love governing every thought, and I knew that harmonious action would be the result.

This problem persisted for three months, during which time relatives and friends from church came in daily to care for me and the children. As I had been a very independent and self-sufficient person, it was difficult at first to accept their kindness with joy. However, it was pointed out to me that they were being given the opportunity to express God's love and they too were being blessed by this opportunity to give.
