Description of a dropout? The hippie who wasn't hip? Not a bit. It's Christ Jesus' parable of the prodigal son related by a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School.

These days many young people say that the church is out of date—out of touch with the seventies, incompetent to play a meaningful part in their lives. They're looking for a religion that's practical, that they can put to work and see results. Old, mistaken concepts of a God in the clouds, of a happy heaven and a hot hell, just won't do.
