It has long been a sincere desire of mine to send a testimony about a quick healing I experienced through the application of the truths Mrs. Eddy gives us in the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

For thirty-seven years we have experienced through God's love and protection many wonderful healings such as those of heart trouble, severe headaches, and many more than I can recount. One that stands out above all others occurred about nine years ago.

One night around eleven thirty I was awakened with extreme pain in my side. This was so severe that it was difficult to stand or lie down, and sitting was like sitting on a knife. I tried to hold to the truth, as we are taught, but could not for long. I called to my husband, a sincere student of Christian Science, and he telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, who had helped us many times. The practitioner prayed for me, and after a short while I was able to lie down. I fell asleep around five in the morning and at about ten o'clock arose completely free from all pain. It was as if I had had a bad dream. There has never been a return of the problem.

I am most grateful to God for Christ Jesus, our Exemplar, and for Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science. This Science has helped me understand and use the Biblical statement (Ps. 91:1), "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
