SUDDENLY WELL

"If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well." Science and Health, p. 14.

Mary Baker Eddy

So many times I'd read those lines,
Not knowing what they meant,
Until the day I cast the shell
Of weariness and fear
To find this blessing heaven-sent
Had always been right with me here,
But, somehow, I'd not known.

I claimed the promised state of health,
Which Truth alone can give;
I saw that man is God's own child,
Is fetterless, is free—
His very purpose is to live;
That Love cares much for you and me;
And, suddenly, I was well!
