Because it is many years since I have offered testimony in our periodicals, I would like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and the constant unfoldment of good that awaits anyone's persistent study and application of it.

Once when our son was about seven years of age, his right hand was mangled. The appearance was that he would lose two fingers. We were on a fishing barge when this occurred. He had grabbed the cable which attached the barge to the shore-to-barge boat. We sang hymns by Mary Baker Eddy to him as we made our way from the barge to the shore where someone could bandage the hand. Of special comfort were the words of "The Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4):
