Sure Success

Everyone wants to be succeeding at something: the child putting a jigsaw puzzle together, the student working on a thesis, the teacher going before his first class, the astronaut putting a spacecraft on the moon. But some people feel unhappy with their level of achievement. Their ability to accomplish anything worthwhile seems to them inadequate to meet the demands of the times. They do not seem to be getting anywhere.

The Bible is reassuring. From it we learn that certain successful men once shrank from tasks and opportunities looming before them. Moses is an example. When spiritually impelled to come to the aid of the oppressed Israelites in Egypt, he doubted his own eloquence and leadership ability.

Yet this prayerful man received the divine assurances he so earnestly looked for. The Lord told him, "Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say." Ex. 4:12;
