That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men (I Cor. 2:5)
The Greek phrase rendered "should not stand" means more strictly "should not be." Goodspeed translates the verse, "So that your faith might rest, not on human philosophy, but on the power of God."
We speak wisdom among them that are perfect (I Cor. 2:6)
