No Double Standards in Truth
On the human scene today many earnest individuals are complaining that they no longer know what to believe because what they hear and read sounds strangely contradictory and confusing. There seems to be no standard by which to judge current conditions in the world.
In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes: "The question, 'What is Truth,' convulses the world. Many are ready to meet this inquiry with the assurance which comes of understanding; but more are blinded by their old illusions, and try to 'give it pause.' 'If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.'" Science and Health, p. 223;
Truth can change universal belief, but mortal thought can never change eternal Truth. Truth is a fixed fact, never subject to change or diminution. It knows nothing outside its own allness and existence.
