"Ginger ale, please"
[For young adults]
"Why don't Christian Scientists drink? Isn't that a bit puritanical?" These are questions often asked. What can we answer?
At an early age I was convinced that I didn't want to drink when I grew up. Besides coming from a family that had wonderful times without alcohol, I had heard of people whose lives had been ruined by drinking.
However, when I got to the age when my friends began to drink, it wasn't so easy to stick to my convictions. I was often embarrassed in a group to be the only one drinking soft drinks.
