LESSON CONTINUING
What is our purpose? From pro and con
of talk one might conclude
it is to make a profit on
our labor and intrude
on God's domain by frantic drive
of each to make his mark.
But that is not to be alive.
Protection in the ark
bred purpose of a going forth,
a going forth that spills
renewal over all the earth,
upon a "thousand hills."
To be awake and persevere
from loaves and fishes shared
springs not from doubt and not from fear.
The power that healed and spared,
that nourished men and satisfied,
the love that always cared,
that sowed the seed and multiplied,
performs for us today.
One moved a ship by power of thought
and pointed out the way.
O we were shown and we were taught!
