Hurrying home from work one evening, I slipped on the porch of my home and hit my head on a large concrete flowerpot. A business associate found me unconscious some hours later. He phoned a Christian Science practitioner, who arranged to have me taken by ambulance to a hospital, in compliance with a California law stating that anyone with a head injury must be moved by professionals and be examined by a physician.
At the hospital three doctors stated that my injury was severe, and that tests would have to be made to determine the extent of the brain damage. The practitioner was praying to know that God is All, and that as a spiritual idea of God, I was safe in His allness. She was knowing that evil is a lie and that I had not for an instant been touched by a false belief called accident nor could I ever be.
