The Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, states in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 113), "The vital part, the heart and soul of Christian Science, is Love." It is a great joy to testify to the healing efficacy of this religion.

I was reared in a Christian home where religion was valued and appreciated, and since my father was a minister, I early learned to study the Bible. I have always been grateful for this training but more particularly since becoming a student of Christian Science. However, my desire for a more satisfying religion was fulfilled when I took up the study of Christian Science. I found this religion could be accepted in its entirety.

Up to this time there was great mental unrest. I experienced a nervous breakdown, and doctors said I would never be well. This was when I decided to let Christian Science and an enlarged understanding of God into my life, a decision which I held to. Much fear had to be overcome, but each day brought gradual improvement in my health and soon I gained freedom.
