An earlier testimony of mine expressing gratitude for Christian Science and for help received through its ministrations appeared in the Sentinel of June 20, 1959. Since that time I have enjoyed more than ten years of further growth in the understanding of God's spiritual government, which embraces the universe and man. This growth has come through daily study of the Christian Science textbooks, the King James Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, early morning prayerful work, and "leaning on the sustaining infinite." These words of Mrs. Eddy appear in the opening sentence of the Preface to Science and Health: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings."

Our five children are grown and launched on successful careers. Through the application of Christian Science a son was healed in one treatment of a severe case of sunburn. He also was able to prove through radical reliance on Truth that a diagnosis of defective eyesight was untrue. The boy's receptivity to Christian Science treatment and our prayerful work brought about a healing of the defect. He is now serving as a naval aviator.

One daughter attended a Biennial College Meeting in Boston at The Mother Church. She received such inspiration that she immediately joined our branch church to express her gratitude and appreciation through service.
