"Train up a child"

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it," Prov. 22:6; we read in Proverbs.

How do we teach a child to love good, to be a law-abiding citizen, to love others as himself, to be as eager to give as to receive, to be of service to mankind, to be obedient to God's will, to give God the glory for all his successes? These lovely Christian qualities are best taught by precept and example.
