What May We Expect?

We may be confident that we shall experience good when, through the study of Christian Science, we learn to let the divine law govern our lives. Mrs. Eddy writes that "Science inevitably lifts one's being higher in the scale of harmony and happiness."^{ Science and Health, p. 60;} Her own experience and that of a countless number of her followers prove that joy, health, a peaceful thought, and fruitful achievement result from consistent adherence to the teachings of this Science.

The anticipation of good does not come from a study of material man and the laws that claim to govern him but from the comprehension of spiritual man and divine Principle's invariable control of true being.

The Bible definitely states that man is the likeness of God, and in Science and Health, the textbook of Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy lists seven synonyms for Deity, which augment one's understanding of God and therefore of His image, spiritual man. God being Love, the man who reflects Him will be ever loving. similarly, man reflects God, Life, in wholesome, continuing being. He reflects the indestructibility of Spirit, the perfection and intelligence of Principle, the harmony of Soul, the wisdom of Mind, and the incorruptibility of Truth.
