Seeking Rightly Can Bring Peace

Many people long for quietness and peace but don't know how to find them! One might ask himself where he's looking for his harmony. There's a right and unfailing way to look, and, conversely, there are other ways that often prove to be disappointing.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, writes these succinct and challenging words: "To begin rightly is to end rightly." Science and Health, p. 262; The Bible gives one a good way to begin rightly. It says: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov. 3:5, 6;

If one accepts God as the creator of all that exists, what is said here will help him. If he bases his search upon this premise, he will be interested in one of the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal the words of which were written by Samuel Longfellow:
