I am extremely grateful for instantaneous healings of the smoking and drinking habits, which have been permanent. I did not pray specifically about it as we are taught to do in Christian Science, but I read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy daily. I had not been brought up in Christian Science as my wife had been, so this was all new to me. One day a fellow worker offered me a drink, but it was completely distasteful to me. I stopped right there and never have had any desire for it since. Also, the tobacco habit left me at the same time, and that healing also has been permanent.
Many physical problems, such as cuts and injuries suffered at work, have been instantly healed. Most of these healings were accomplished through my own prayerful work.
