A Christian Science healing is a direct answer to our application of the promise Jesus left with us. "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you" (John 16:23).

I would like to relate a healing I experienced some time ago. On my way down from a balcony I lost my footing and went down several steps onto a hard floor. For a moment I lost consciousness. I had injured the side of my head. The thought came, "God is here." I repeated this over and over.

In the evening there was a Christian Science lecture, and I served there as an usher. I knew that in God's kingdom there can be no accidents, that I lived and moved in the atmosphere of divine Love. I held steadfastly to these truths. I knew that nothing could prevent me from being at my post, and I denied the claim of injury and the belief that man can experience inharmony of any kind. Following the help of a Christian Science practitioner not a blemish remained on my face, except for a small spot on my lip, which was hardly noticeable. After a few days I knew that my healing was complete.
