I am very grateful for the concept of the continuity of good that we gain as students of Christian Science. I was raised in a Christian Science environment. I attended Sunday School and later enjoyed church and college organization privileges. The truth that I learned of man's inseparable relationship to God has been a practical and usable one. The travail of giving birth became a joyous awareness of God's presence. Two daughters were born harmoniously while my consciousness was filled with the comfort of Mrs. Eddy's beautiful hymn (Poems, p. 4):
O gentle presence, peace and joy and power;
O Life divine, that owns each waiting hour,
Thou Love that guards the nestling's faltering flight!
Keep Thou my child on upward wing tonight.
